It is a dark and stormy night!
and so it begins.....

A bone-chilling rain falls heavily on the cobblestone streets and thatched roofs of Highford. It has been raining steadily for the past few days, washing away the last remnants of the winter snows. The Skull River, fattened by the melted highland snow and spring rainfall, pushes its way through the city, attempting to devour the boats and buildings along its shore. On this night, the wind has picked up, carrying with it the faint noises of people gathered together for warmth and companionship in the cold, dreary darkness. One such place, The Bear and Fox is full of travelers and locals alike. Soft music, loud belly-laughs, and warm firelight keep out the cold, depressing night that is pressing in on the walls. It is here our tale begins.
